Inter-Refs Summit

On the invitation of a fellow alumni from the GSMP Programme based in South Africa who share the same passion for football and gender equality, Carole will introduce the ADVANCE concept and tools at the “Inter-Refs Summit” organised in East London, South Africa. She will also moderate the panel discussion between 3 FIFA referee who officiated at the World Cup this year.
Created by Akhona Makalima -one of first certified female soccer referees in South Africa- in 2016 Inter-Refs teaches girls age 7 and older about the laws of soccer. The summit will gather South African and international experts to raise awareness about the power of referring to girls and women life.
